If you are a community group, family, group of friends or just an individual with an interest in space science, there are a range of options which we can tailor to your specific needs.  From beginners to professionals, Sirius Astronomy has something for all levels of expertise. For beginners we run fully guided star parties with telescopes such as Celestron Prodigy 130, which is perfect for those with no prior knowledge of telescopes.  We also offer one-to-one tutorials for those beginning astronomy. These can take place on your own telescope or one hired from us.

The same star parties and tutorials can also be tailored to those of an intermediate level.  We have a range of different telescopes and mounts for hire, allowing you to explore the sky with a range of different styles of mount and scope.  We can also tailor tutorials and star party guidance based on your needs and interests.

For the serious hobbyist or professional astronomers, Paul is available as a guest speaker.  He offers talks and presentations on a wide range of areas such as The History of Astronomy, The Solar System, and Comets.  Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Sirius Astronomy will also offer a range of one off courses in the near future, as well as offering series of taught sessions leading to qualifications. Contact us if you would like to be kept informed as more information becomes available.

Star parties can also be a fun and unusual children’s birthday party.  Perfect for budding scientists, Sirius astronomy will bring all the equipment needed to create an evening star party with hands on experience and experiments for children to explore the night sky.

If a daytime party is more suitable for your child, then we can offer a daytime star party where we explore our closest star, the sun with safe and exciting observation and experiments.

(We always have an indoor alternative if the British weather is not playing ball!)

Sirius Astronomy offers telescope hire in partnership with The Tring Astronomy Centre.  We can cater for all levels of astronomy interest. Whether you want to try a new style of telescope before buying, are going to a dark sky area on holiday, or just fancy trying astronomy without having to shell out for expensive equipment, we have a package for you.
